Affectionately nicknamed "The Rep," the Arkansas Repertory Theater performs critically-acclaimed plays and invites touring performances like Chicago's Second City comedy troupe on stage. In addition to its own performances, the theater encourages community participation, promoting understudies and open play readings. Located in the historic Galloway building, the theater is in Little Rock's burgeoning downtown district, northwest of MacArthur Park and the nearby Arkansas Art Center.
