The Old State House Museum is a historical museum with a range of exhibits that include the inaugural gowns of the state's First Ladies, African American quilts, Civil War Flags and rooms decorated to reflect different periods in history. The building itself has great historical significance, being the oldest state capital building located west of the Mississippi, and having served as the capital for both the Confederacy and the Union during the Civil War. It is located in downtown Little Rock near the bank of the Arkansas River, situated between the Peabody and DoubleTree Hotels.
